A new issue ofPortafoglio di lussomagazine, the publication of Luxury Portfolio International, is out now. Articles in Volume 15, Issue 1, explore connections in the myriad of ways it manifests within the luxury space, from skyscrapers with verdant ecosystems to estates rooted in history and dynamic hobbies such as yachting, gardening and art collecting. “This issue ofPortafoglio di lussois all about making connections – with nature, community, the wider world and, of course, at home,” said Lisa Klein Powers, managing editor of the magazine.

In the book
As in every issue, columnists from different luxury sectors share their expertise and the careful consideration involved in what they do. Architect Stuart Rough of Broadway Malyan considers how context dictates design in authentic architecture; Joa Studholme of Farrow & Ball explores the art of unconventional paint choices; Four Seasons resort manager Eduardo Sampere writes about the rise of luxury resorts fostering an immersive environment; and Chef Sarah Thompson of Casa Playa considers the role of friends and family in her cooking journey. Featured properties highlight the ways in which homes are intrinsically linked to time and place. For example, a former heiress's art deco penthouse dazzles with 360-degree views of San Francisco, while a villa on the French Riviera basks in all of its glory alongside historic properties such as King Leopold II of Belgium’s former home. Meanwhile, in Switzerland, an eco-friendly abode marries architecture with nature and a tiny island in New Zealand boasts a picturesque property that allows residents the ultimate gift of connection with the opportunity to swim with dolphins.

The lifestyle section explores the world of yachting, statement-worthy home décor pieces and proven ways to live longer and healthier. “We hope this edition of the magazine invites you to slow down and consider both the connections that you have and those you want to create,” Ms. Powers said.Portafoglio di lussomagazine is published biannually and distributed through the organization’s global network of independent real estate brokerages, airport lounges, and Barnes & Noble stores and other newsstands in the United States and Canada.
