The house was built in 1949 in an exposed location on Geesthang. The client was a hamburger producer who created a representative seat for himself and his family. Accordingly, it was not spared in the construction and only high-quality and valuable materials were used. From everywhere you have a magnificent view over the expanse of Geest to the Elbe. The house has an area of about 500 m² and is situated on a park-like plot of about 1.7 ha. It is spacious and elegant, but preserves the informal atmosphere of a country house. Two special highlights of the house are the swimming pool with large pool deck and pool house as well as the fact that with the energy money is earned. Upon entering the house you enter the foyer, from where you can already enjoy the wide view. The large living room extends through the doors onto the terrace. A fireplace provides warmth on cool days. Behind the living room is a master bedroom that is used as an office. The builder was here installing a retractable panoramic windows. In this area, the terrace included, even larger receptions can align relaxed. The dining room is bright and also has two doors to the terrace. This is followed by the tea room. These two rooms have access to the pantry and the kitchen. The areas for employees consist of the driver en suite rooms and a large room, bathroom and separate entrance. You could create two additional apartments in this area, which would have no relation to the main house. From the staff area leads to the large basement with laundry room, boiler room and eight other cellars, one of which contains a sauna. From out of the foyer, a staircase leads to another lounge upstairs. The sleeping area of the parents has a living room with fireplace, the master bedroom and a dressing room. Particularly noteworthy is the attached bathroom, whose walls are completely made of onyx. It is fully equipped with bathtub, shower and double vanity. There are two more bedrooms on this floor. One has an additional living room and looks at the march. The second bedroom is at the rear of the house. There are on this floor further down, two bathrooms and another foyer, which is used as a billiard room. At half the height between the ground floor and the first floor is a breakfast room located with a semicircular wall and many windows and the Bick to Elbmarsch. Below the house is the swimming pool. There is a swimming pool of 18m length and a large wooden pool deck. The outdoor pool is heated and has a cover. The pool deck is a few feet above the marsh, and there is a great wide view from here. A pool house offers a lounge area, kitchen, shower, toilet and a place to stay for guests. Complemented this area is an outdoor grill. In good weather, this area is better than any resort in the south. The energy supply is based on a cogeneration plant fueled by LPG. The electricity produced by the cogeneration plant is partially sold to the city. One part is used for a virtually maintenance-free heat pump heats the house and swimming pool. Due to the favorable LPG prices and the feed-in tariffs for the electricity the cogeneration plant has higher surpluses generated as the cost for operating the heat pump. Thus, house and pool were heated free of charge. On the property there is a garage yard with several garages and shelters for garden machinery. The house has been continually modernized and presents itself in excellent condition. In recent years, around EUR 1.5 million was invested in the house.
