This property is located in a luxury housing development in the heart of the Costa Brava called s’Agaró Vell, located between the coastal towns of Platja d'Aro and Sant Feliu de Guíxols. It is a private development with its own all-year-round security service, a 5-star luxury hotel called “Hostal de la Gavina”, a Chapel and a semi-private beach, Sa Conca, which can only be accessed on foot or by owners of one of the luxury houses in this development.
This development was inaugurated in 1932 and since then regular promotional campaigns were launched to publicise S’Agaró to the general public. The success of the promotion was impressive. A lot of famous people, politicians, actors, musicians, artists and business mans are coming to S’Agaró to spend their holidays. At that time S’Agaró also became a setting for films, such as “Treasure Island”, “Some Girls Do”, “Pandora and the Flying Dutchman”, “Mister Arkadin”, “Nicholas and Alexandra”, “The Truth about Spring”, “Suddenly last Summer” and even some scenes for James Bond films. More recently, scenes for the film “The Sea Inside” were shot here, as well as numerous advertisements.
