Tamara Tennant is President of Tamara Tennant Interior Design, a boutique firm that specializes in high-end projects for discriminating luxury residential and commercial clientele who prefer sophisticated, timeless, classic design with rich fabrics and luxurious furnishings that are livable and comfortable. As can be seen at www.tamaratennant.com, each project is distinctly different and a reflection of her clients’ preferences, not her own. They have good taste and she helps them refine and translate their own unique style into an impressive, luxurious environment that is neither stuffy nor overdone.
Established in 1987, this award-winning design firm has earned a reputation for integrity, superior craftsmanship, meticulous attention to detail and timely completion of work. Many of her interiors have been featured in leading publications and books including Florida Design, Florida International Magazine and Spectacular Homes of South Florida, and have been showcased on HGTV. Tamara is a regular guest lecturer and author on color, design trends and high-end design.
State of the art technology, including Computer Aided Design Drafting (CADD) enables the firm to produce detailed plans and elevations and dispatch them via fax or e-mail to her many clients around the world. Tamara’s long-held commitment to design excellence is reflected in the application of architectural elements, the use of fine furniture, custom cabinetry and millwork, as well as fine artwork and accessories acquired worldwide. Tamara and the love of her life own a chalet in Switzerland and spend a great deal of time traveling Europe. She regularly attends the Maison and Object show in Paris seeking fresh ideas and stimulation.
A Summa Cum Laude graduate from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, Tamara holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design and is licensed and registered by the Board of Architecture and Interior Design in the State of Florida. She is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), served on the Florida South Chapter Board of Directors, and was Chairperson for the ASID Student Career Day at DCOTA in 2004, 2005 and 2008. Currently, Tamara is working on a MBA in Real Estate Development at NOVA Southeastern University and the certification for LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design). Her goals are to expand her career to include unique high-end development projects that utilize good design and are sustainable.
